Welcome to Troop 522!

Do you like to work hard to achieve a goal? Do you like to be excellent in the things you do? Do you like to have fun outdoors? Do you want to be a leader?

If you answered "YES!" to any of these questions then Troop 522 is for you! Troop 522 strives to provide each boy in our troop the opportunity to learn new skills and become leaders - not only in Boy Scouting but for the rest of their lives. We do this by mentoring boys in Scouting skills and providing them opportunities to lead and choose what kind of program the troop offers. While learning Scouting skills, we get outdoors continually to test what we've learned through fun activities like hiking, camping, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, cooking, orienteering and many more!

Our troop meets weekly on Monday night at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in East Schodack, NY at 7:00pm. At our meetings we practice our Scout skills and prepare for our monthly camping, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Our troop is open to boys who are at least 11 years old or who are 10 and either have graduated from fifth grade or have earned their Arrow of Light [Cub Scouting award]. You may continue as a Scout until your eighteenth birthday.

If you are interested in joining our troop please contact our Scoutmaster John Rinaldo.
