Troop Activities

We have a schedule jam-packed with fun and challenging adventures! Parades, indoor rock climbing, canoe trips, haunted corn mazes, tubing, the Klondike Derby - and many more fun events! Check it out!

Camping

We do a lot of camping each year. From our fall and spring Camporees to cabin camping at Merck Forest and Woodworth Lake. We love to be outdoors and camping in tents and cabins. Don't forget summer camp too. A whole week at Camp Rotary. Swimming, boating, climbing - fun, fun, fun!

Hiking and Backpacking

We also plan many day hikes where we climb up a peak or take a hike down a forest path. Backpacking is fun as well. Carrying everything you need for the weekend on your back and heading out into the woods.

Service to the Community

We believe in giving back to our community. We plan many community events during the year. Some of these are "Scouting for Food" where we collect food for the needy, roadside trash pick-up in East Schodack where we have adopted County Route 7, trail clearing and clean-up at the Papscanne Nature Preserve on the Hudson River and many more.

Fund Raising

In order to raise funds for our activities we have three fund raisers we hold - our annual roast beef dinner, breakfast with Santa, and popcorn sale.

End of the Season Trip

Every June we plan a big trip to somewhere really cool. In the past we have chosen places like camping at Gettysburg, whitewater rafting on the Hudson and climbing in the trees at Adirondack Extreme in Lake George. This year we are planning on deep sea fishing in the Atlantic Ocean!
