Woodworth Lake Cabin Trip
The Woodworth Lake cabin camoing trip is on March 26-28. This is always a really fun trip that the scouts look forward to each year. Make sure to check for a sign-up sheet at the next meeting.
Harvard Merit Badge University
March 6th is the first weekend of Harvard Merit Badge University. If you ahve signed up to go contact Mr. Malia for ride sharing info.
Computers Merit Badge
We will be doing Computers merit badge as a troop over the next serveral meetings in March. This is a fun badge. Even if you have the badge make sure to make the meetings. You're guaranteed to learn something and have some fun.
Intertroop Rally Results
Troop 522 took second place overall in the Intertroop Rallies this year. Congratulations to all scouts who participated!
Klondike Derby Results
Our Hawk patrol took first place at the Klondike Derby this year! Our Bear patrol did a fine job winning serveral of the events. We're proud of all scouts who participated this year.
Merck Forest Cabin/Backpacking Trip
What a great time we had at the Merck Forest! This year we decided to hike in on Friday night in the dark using only headlamps and the light of the moon. It was a lot of fun and a different experience for most of us. We got to Ned's Place cabin and made a roaring fire in the woodstove. On Saturday, we took a really nice hike up Spruce Mountain where we had lunch. It started to snow during lunch and as we hiked back to the cabin. In fact all night it snowed and we had 4 inches on the ground in the morning. That evening we had a hearty dinner of homemade beef stew that we made on the woodstove and played games. The hike out was clear and beautiful with the snow hanging on all the tree limbs. Can't wait to go back next year!
